Wrapped in her favorite cloak, she left the good down so her face and blond hair could feel what could be the last warm of the September night. This early in the morning, theres less than a handful of students walking this hall, making it so quiet that I can hear my heel click against the tile floor. Being in this hall this early morning makes me feel like Im the only person alive or Im walking into my condemnation. Making my way to the end of the hall, I turn and go up the stairwell thats there. Looking out the tall window thats there at every floor, I see that the wind is blowing even harder than it was when Elley and I were walking here. Silence. Only me and the water dripping off my body after the shower. Still standing with the shower curtain closed, I put my hands against the wall and leaned against them, feeling the weight of the world and the tiredness bearing down on me.
